Q-09: How large is the antenna used to provide your service? Will I need a permit or HOA approval to place it on my building or home?
A-09: The antennas we use are no larger than 12" tall x 12" wide and weighs less than 1 pound with an optional reflector antenna used to boost the signal.

Section 207 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 prohibits restrictions on the use of “Over-the-Air Reception Devices” from government (cities or counties) or non-government (landlords or homeowner associations) entities. The ruling pertains to antennas less than 1 meter in diameter and less than 12 feet above roofline. You may still want to contact your homeowners association or landlord for any guidelines they may have on placement of the antenna. For more information, you can get a fact sheet from the FCC at www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html or contact us with any questions.

Q-11: Why does Dirt Road Connect requires a strong password for email accounts?
A-11: Passwords are an important aspect of email security. They are the front line of protection for user accounts. A poorly chosen, weak password may result in the compromise of your personal security. The malicious intent of using your personal information is called “Identity Theft” which results in the loss of personal finances, criminal activity, and other damaging activity committed by someone else pretending to be you.

Other consequences of using weak passwords result in the use of your email account for unsolicited email sent to others, which is known as “spam email”.
